About Me
I am a Full Stack JavaScript Developer with 3 years experience. I specialize in Front End Development and I enjoy building out new and unique web interfaces and experiences. From idea conception to design, to final code, I can be instrumental at every step of the way as we build out your online presence.
I have experience with backend technologies such as PHP (Laravel, Wordpress), Python(Django, Flask) and JavaScript (Node, Express, Sequelize). On the front end I have worked with React and Vue. Right now I am focused on learning Severless Architecture specifically building applications using the JAMStack.
Having come from a Graphic Design background, I have proficient design skills which I leverage to create frontend UI elements that I can comfortably translate to code. I have working knowledge of most design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD and Figma. I also am working with Design Systems in order to become a more well rounded UI/UX Designer.

Tenders Kenya
Tenders Kenya is a website that advertises tenders and government contracts. They sell yearly memberships to users who want access to the site's content. I am the developer in charge of mainiating the site. It is built using Wordpress and I have custom built some plugins and features for unique functionality.

Almond Hydroponics
Almond is a startup that aims to provide a platform for Hydroponic Farmers. The main product is a sensor that can monitor the conditions of a farmer's greenhouse and report back to the Farmer. It is accessed by a web-based application, of which I am part of the team that is working on it, as a Front End Engineer.

Andela is a multinational company that focuses on building distributed software development teams across the world. I worked here as a software and got to be part of many exciting projects. I also got valuable experience working as part of a distributed team as well as hands on experience with most web technologies in use today.

Day Tracker is a Web Tracking App to help you manage your time more wisely. More than just a time tracker, DayTracker is a minimalist dayplanner app made with convinience in mind. Take full control of your time and eliminate procrastination with Daytracker.
Backend Repository
Kanairo is a local buy and sell platform that targets users within the Nairobi area and its environs. The main project started as a Facebook group and evolved into this website. I built the backend using Django and the Frontend is a React based Web App.
